Pre-action Sprinklern System

Preaction system combines all the features of wet pipe, dry pipe and deluge valve system. There are two types in preaction system,single interlock & double interlock. Single interlock is similar to dry pipe system and double resembles deluge valve system

Preaction systems are designed to protect properties in which the danger of water damage occurs from premature operation of sprinklers due to climatic conditions. It is used in areas like museums, manuscripts, antiques etc. In a preaction system, the action of heat-responsive device releases a preaction valve, the water fills the piping system, and an alarm is raised in advance of the activation of sprinklers. The alarm often gives an opportunity to extinguish the fire by manual means before a sprinkler activates.
